If you thought 'Happy Gilmore' featured too much golf and wish 'Slap Shot' had been a Hanson Brothers highlight reel for two hours, then say hello to 'Goon.' Starring Seann William Scott, 'Goon' is the story of a down-on-his-luck bouncer who gets recruited by a semi-pro hockey team with the understanding that he's to fight every opponent so the team can win more games. Sounds pretty similar to Kevin Smith's upcoming 'Hit Somebody' movies, but go ahead and check out The Stifmeister punch the tar out of people for a living ahead.
Directed by Michael Dowse and written by Jay Baruchel and Evan Goldberg ('Pineapple Express' and 'Superbad'), look for 'Goon' in theaters some time in 2012.
