The already glittering lineup of movies for the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival just got even shinier, with more than 75 new additions.
Among the highlights is "The Armstrong Lie," a documentary about disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong. Director Alex Gibney's film follows the onetime champion in 2009, as he attempts a comeback, and then again in 2013, post-doping scandal.
The festival will also see the world premiere of Guillaume Canet's "Blood Ties," about two brothers -- one just out of prison and the other a cop. The French director's drama stars his romantic partner Marion Cotillard, as well as Clive Owen, Billy Crudup, Mila Kunis, and Zoe Saldana.
Owen headlines another of the new TIFF additions: the world premiere of Fred Schepisi's "Words and Pictures," in which Owen plays a blocked writer who clashes with Juliet Binoche's struggling artist.
Also noteworthy is John Turturro's "Fading Gigolo," which features a rare acting appearance (in a movie not his own) by Woody Allen. The festival will also see the North American premiere of anime master Hayao Miyazaki's "The Wind Rises."
And would a film festival really be a film festival without an entry from James Franco? The polymath will debut his directorial effort "Child of God," an adaptation of a Cormac McCarthy novel.
